The first glance - Maastricht,Eindhoven and my friend's cool place,Erp

The Sun greeted me with its shine, allowed me to see the town with crystal clear view. My first stop was Maastricht. Thanks to Penelope as she gave me ride to The Netherlands and Myra for allowing me to crash there for a night.

Oh yeah she has a lovely dog "Macha" <3

Penelope and Myra, shortly after we got into Maastricht.

I began my journey to the city centre early in the morning,I walked past the oldest bridge in The NLs, Sint Servaasbrug or known as St. Servatius Bridge. This bridge has an arched stone footbridge across The Meuse River,Maastricht

*oh shit why do I look like that

Okay here I am standing before the bridge !

I continued up front and headed up straight to a square where Sint-Servaasbasiliek en Sint Janskerk are located.

Here is the view from the bench in front of them.

I couldn't stay long here but I did walk through the whole city.Unfortunately my phone battery ran out therefore I couldn't take enough picture here. Pretty sad right? But worry not as I took a train heading to my friend's place.

So the second stop was ??? Eindhoven ! There I had the chance to visit the Philips Stadium but I arrived bit late therefore I couldn't join the stadium tour. Well at least I got something for me.I bought a set of headband because by that time I still have my long hair wohoo.

My first footballer card was a PSV footballer, Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Damn he was a good striker, fox in the box,a poacher who always plays the ball to the last man and smash it home. 1 on 1 situation,99% you'll have the ball behind the net.okay sorry but I really really love him

*I had the same card with sticker when I was 6 year old.

Afterwards I walked down from the Philips Stadium and went to the station where I had to take a bus from Eindhoven to Veghel. There I met Danny for the first time after he left Jordan! Danny picked me up and we went to Erp. It is located in the province of North Brabant, between 's-Hertogenbosch and Eindhoven.

After I got to his place, thanks to his mother for the car ride,we spent our time with... FOOTBALL ! He has a backyard where we can shoot the ball into the net !

"so... what are we waiting for ? let's try !"

*oh yeah i kinda kicked to ball too hard, the challange was to hit the crossbar,so I didn't miss the open goal aight... so I had to go out haha thanks Danny for helping me getting the ball back.

*Danny hit the crossbar,so he won the challenge

After kicking some few rounds,we're kinda hungry so we had dinner first before we headed out for cycling.. yeah what else to do in The NLs besides spending your time with bike right? Actually there is good explanation behind the bike usage there. It is actually efficient to use there because we want something in between that can get us somewhere.(Refer to the term not too close to drive or not too far to walk). So biking is the best option here. Back to the dinner time,I actually discovered a sport "Korfbal" which is I'm not familiar with.Danny's sister,Lyanne plays that sport,Korfbal. By this time I felt like I kinda have so little information regarding sport even though I kinda involve with sport frequently.

Thanks to his family for the great hospitality and I really enjoyed this moment. LEKKER FOOD !

Exactly,we hit up the road with bike to tour around the city after the dinner.Danny also showed me the sport facilities over there which are very impressing. They have several football pitches, tennis court and pitches for korfball.

Several indoor court also available.

After spending almost half an hour from there (they also have pitch for Korfball!) we continued biking around the town and went home shortly afterwards because it was raining a bit!

Later hat night,I played two games. The first one was "Mens erger je niet" which literally means "Do not get angry, man". It is also known as "Mensch ärgere dich nicht" in German. Dude I really enjoyed the game because it literally depends on luck looooool. Danny and his mother beat me all the way haha.

The second game known as "Ben ik een banaan" which means "Am I a banana" ? hahaha again I finished in the last place. But it only happened when Danny's father helped me with lot of hints otherwise it would last for the whole night loool !

After the game was finished we sat down for a while,we talked about football, the world, the current issues which are really useful for me to learn and gain some knowledge from others.Remember that you always have the chance to improve yourself,we always have options.Surround yourself with good atmosphere and try to get/learn something new.

The next day He showed me around 's Hertogenbosch or known as Den Bosch. We visited Sint Janskathedraal and The Noordbrabants Museum there and damn it was a nice experience to have. The history from medieval until modern era are shown there. The technology from the past,The Dutch Royal Family history, music, currency, games and sport !

Danny told me to stay back bit more hahaha I was about to touch it loool haha *focused too much

These were the currency used in The NLs before they switched to Euro

Michael Jackson's song was on !

Dutch cyclist from Kwantum Decosol Team

Well yeah this pretty cool !

Thank you so much to Danny and his family. I hope one day I will have another chance to pay you guys a visit and sit together playing the games !

There will be more articles about Rotterdam-Amsterdam-Tilburg-Utrecht. Keep in mind that I'll update them soon as I'm kinda busy with uni. Wish you all a nice time and have fun!!

TRIVIA : 's-Hertogenbosch also famous with Boschebol (chocolate ball). You can get it in a pastry shop there. The famous one is Banketbakkerij Jan de Groot. Make sure to pay them a visit !
