Rotterdam and Delft! Haring? What?

Well,to begin with,it's a birthplace to the oldest professional football team in The Netherlands,Sparta Rotterdam. But that wasn't the reason why I went there. The real reason was to visit my friend who also had been to Jordan before! Raffa!

This was in Petra, back when we had our hiking trip!

I took the train from 'S Hertogenbosch to Rotterdam,I arrived there around 1920 and walked a bit to his place.I arrived safely at his place and right on time while he was making the dinner.I waited downstairs and he came out to welcome me and we had dinner together with his three other awesome housemates.Coen,Karel and Laurens. These 4 dudes make the atmosphere become more lit and interesting. As for the first night,I also found out Jasmine also lives in Rotterdam! So she came over to Raffa's place and we went out for chill a lil bit.

Following the next day,Raffa got class and I went out looking for music store as I was kinda looking for place where I can buy bass guitar.I was really lucky because since the first day I got there in The NLs,there were no rainy day at all.FULL WITH SUNLIGHT! Well not long because the next day... the real weather greet me with its blessing, the rain...

So,thanks to Raffa,I really really(I freaking mean it) appreciate what he did,he allocated his time to show me over the town and invited me over to Delft. Just before I left the house, the rain was pouring down like crazy and now I understand why the Dutch really like the sun (I guess haha). Nevertheless,I made my way from Rotterdam to Delft safely.

Raffa came into the station and said to me "Look at the weather,we gonna get you a Paraplu. Well it's a Dutch word for umbrella.See, another important word that I should know whenever I come to The NLs. As we bought the paraplu,we walked out and the wind was like,"hey let me give you surprise". The wind was crazy and the rain was "lit" with my presence lol.But the bad weather didn't stop us for our plan.

First thing first,we headed for the Dutch pastries. For the first time, I tried the fresh made Stroopwafel. Okay I know it might sound mehh but hey,I tried it and I enjoyed it.

We had to hold the paraplu as the rain still crazy haha. May  God preserve the Stroopwafels forever!

Next,we tried Worstenbroodje and Saucijzenbroodje.Guys okay so can I say something? You guys have good variations of pastries wohooooo.

                              look at them..yummmmmmmmmyy

Then shortly afterwards,we met Iris! She also got some free time therefore we all walked around and Raffa showed me how to deal with "Haring" well actually "Haring met uitjes". It's a fermented fish where often eaten by lifting the herring by its tail and eat it upwards holding it over your mouth.I mean this is how it's done right? haha (IRIS said she tried before,so I think yeahh!!) hahaha

And yeah this is a vid on how getting it done haha

Lesson 101 : How to eat Haring like The Dutch

So this is Haring met uitjes and I survived it ! wohoo

We also visited Raffa's previous home and student fraternity. It is super awesome and can I ask why the heck we don't have this kind of things here in Amman ? come on guys we can do better than this lol. There we spent bit of time waiting for the weather to get better, guess what? Raffa once again showed me what and how "Spiesje" is. To make this thing clear, basically you drink from the bottle while putting the straw inside and the other end outside.Hold it and drink it without taking single break.

This vid will show you how I did it

*Yeah,I've done it so I think I'm strong enough to face anything in life hahaha.

Before we all left the place,Raffa and I played FIFA18 together to chill a bit and while we were playing the rain was stopped. Then we played again and again by the time we finish the rain came back... HAHA.Again before we left we had the chance to try something like costume for party haha and well I think I didn't really fit to be a penguin but yeah whatever. But we still went out anyway to a small lounge where we had drink, talked a lil bit and Iris had to back as well as Raffa.I made my way back to Rotterdam and prepared for the next day.

Yeah I think I need full costume while Iris look very fit in it haha

Special thanks to Iris for spending your time with us even though the weather was kinda bad by that time.Looking forward to seeing you again next time ! All the best !

As for Raffa, thanks for the hospitality and for your time showing me around, train hard for FIFA and I will come once again to kick your ass haha(You'll get drink on me next time!)
