Weed, coffee shop, sex shop and Red Light District are probably what most people think in mind when they heard about Amsterdam. Try again because I really think these things aren't really suitable for me. Honestly I will say either it's about Ajax or a town full with polyglots. Which are I really enjoy these kind of things. *i'm not weird btw
Okay let's get started, early in the morning I moved from Rotterdam(thanks again Raffa) to Amsterdam by train. I arrived at the Amsterdam Sloterdijk and then I took a ride in a bus from Station Zuid to Bos & Lommerplein.

Throwback where Naomi and the others still in Jordan <3
What would I do that? Welp,it's because my friend,Naomi lives there ! I arrived there and she came down with smile and gave me a hug. What a lovely start for me! So I got to her place and put my rucksack down and... we gotta grab something for breakfast aight? Well we did grab something to eat and I'm so overwhelmed that there are so many Asian food available there such as Keropok,Nasi Goreng and any other typical Asian snacks.

Got to Naomi's and about to go out to for breakfast

Simple one before getting the real one,be prepared !
So we hopped in the bus to go the city centre where people call Dam Square. When I got there with Naomi, there was a sport event and damn so many people actually joined it. We walked around and there are a lot of museums there and attraction. We got Madame Tussauds (Wax museum),Royal Palace of Amsterdam,National Monument and many more.

The sport event took place here.
TRIVIA: Amsterdam was built on Stilts. The entire city of Amsterdam was built on piles.
Before trying the foods (as always hehe),we went to New English bookstore where you can actually find so many interesting books to buy and read.

Surprisingly I found Malaysian food cookbook

and yeah well,I couldn't buy this as I don't know Dutch so...
After spending sometime at the bookstore,Rutger,Naomi's boyfriend arrived. Greeted me with smile and warm welcome and we all went for the snacks first! WOHOO

yeahhh these all were LIT
The vid of the snacks !
Thanks to Rutger and Naomi for explaining the whole thing! ah yeah not to forget that we ate the snacks with Joppiesaus! mmm Lekker! (Joppiesaus find' ich lecker!)
While we were walking we all had meaningful conversations such as global issues, education system, the history and the future.Everything was perfect and I did enjoyed every single seconds that I spent there. Oh it didn't end there actually. We went for the Jacketz in Nieuwendijk.Yeah that was really really put my belly to its limit.

"Succulent and slowly simmered EcoFields organic beef, slightly sweet with uien and biertje. Traditional Dutch dish. One of Jacketz oldies." - What a majestic food
*the description was taken from its page haha
Okay since our belly are full with the delicios baked potatoes,we headed for The EYE Museum. To get there,we had to take a short ferry ride across The Ij River. It's free btw! I'm gonna tell you how to get into the ferry. Step 1 : Get in. Step 2 : Wait for a while. Step 3 : Get out. HAHA easy af.
So finally we got by the otherside and spent some time exploring the area
Here is the video of it. The shorty ferry trip across The Ij River

The design of this meseum is futuristic.
There we sat down for a while and had coffee and talking about the life and what are we going to do with it. It sounds like serious talk but it actually not,we're all traveller afterall. Wow some philosophy happened here haha. Then we went to a souvenir shop and I bought some souvenirs and funny thing actually happened there as I paid the money and I said "Dankjewel" to the cashier as she handed me the items and the cashier started to talk to me in Dutch while I just stand there and thankgod Naomi was there saying I don't know Dutch haha and I was just stand there doing nothing like stunned by the all Dutch words hahaha

Yeah,I should have bought it though haha

The Horse Family looooool
*he was super excited by this time
Before the day went dark we headed back to the Centre and walked a bit and grab the bus home. Although I really enjoyed the city but I wish that I had more time to spend here by the riverside watching the view but time flies so we had to make it home.

Rutger,Naomi and I at The Eye Museum

This was so close, never been this close to a swan haha

cute swan :)
Also I had the chance to pass by the UvA,it really looks great and the environment is really cool for learning. As a student who also currently studying in a uni in Jordan,I hope that one day, most of the universities here actually take good initiative to improve the facilities and the environment as I think these things do play big role in learning process and student's motivation.

One of the Campus that I passed by,oh this time I was waiting for Naomi after her class. Good environment I swear to god.
Special thanks to Naomi for letting me crash at her place and for showing me around and Rutger good luck with your photography work and chase your dream ! I hope that one day I will have another chance to spend more time there and having more food together. You guys are always welcome in Jordan and I wish you both all the best !
Next? TILBURG !
